Red Hill - 1983
Easter Day 30 years ago...April 3, 1983
We evacuated to Red Hill. Here we were free from the Khmer Rouge guard. Very few pictures exist at this location.
This photo is sent anonymously to our blog.It says the photographer is Patrick Chauvel, a famous French war journalist,
taken on April 10, 1983, one week after we arrived at Red Hill

don't want to miss anyone...no one should be left behind without
notice...Please by all mean spread the news...encourage each
other...pooling...hand on hand...come altogether, see each other in
person, hug each other tighter...longer than ever before....because we
all know, after that we will again bid farewell for another time...but
this time some of us will be never seen again....Let the new generation,
our children, our sibling , our offsprings...carry over and
forever...so that we all live....Please help us to make this reunion
possible and memorable, unforgettable....No...

...Après deux mois de séjour dans la forêt à Red Hill, nous avons été transférés dans le camp de Nong Samet. Ce camp était bien situé aux limites du pays, mais sur le sol cambodgien.
Il ressemblait à une prison. Il y avait une clôture autour du camp, et personne ne pouvait sort...

"Après deux jours de march, nous
sommes arrivés à Red Hill. C’etait le Dimanche de Pâques. Et moi, j’ai
vue de nombreuses personnes blessées, mortes sur la route. Cela était
très angoissant, quelque choses qui me faisait vraiment mal au fond du
coeur et que je n’oublierai jamais.
Quelques
jours plutard, l’equipe médical “Médecines Sans Frontières” est venue
soigner les gens blessés et les malades. Nous, nous étions très heureux
de les aider dans cette mission qui nous a donnée un bon exmple d’amour
de l’humanité
Personnes d’entre nous ne ....ce qui allait arriver dans le future. Mais
un petit sourire au...
